Fairgrieve Elementary School

FULTON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

UPDATE for Friday, February 13th, 2026

Posted Date: 02/13/26 (05:06 PM)

Good afternoon.

I am writing to you to share that Fairgrieve Elementary School needed to be evacuated for 7 minutes this morning, 10:23 to 10:30 a.m.  The evacuation was a result of a student who had pulled the fire alarm on the second floor of the building.

All students and staff followed established emergency procedures to evacuate the building safely and promptly. All students and staff returned to their classrooms at 10:30 a.m. to resume the regular school day schedule of classes and activities.

The student responsible for the evacuation has been identified, and action consistent with the Fulton City School District’s Code of Conduct was immediately implemented.

I would like to acknowledge the first responders (Fulton Fire and Police Departments) who provided assistance to Fairgrieve Elementary School during this incident today.  Furthermore, I wish to commend all of our students and staff who conducted themselves with notable composure and patience throughout this unexpected event.

Sincerely,

Eric P. Koproski
